Type-1 diabetes mellitus – It occurs in childhood. The beta cells found in pancreas gets completely damaged. In result the body can not produce insulin hormone which is responsible for glucose utilization by body cells.
T2DM Type-2 diabetes mellitus – Type 2 diabetes is most common type. It occurs in the adults & old age people. The blood sugar in type 2 diabetes rises because of 2 reasons.
a) Body is not able to produce enough amount of insulin hormone.
b) Body cells are not able to respond to insulin which is called insulin resistance.

Diet, exercise & Medicines are the 3 tools to manage diabetes. but yes If you do not take medicines & do not follow advice diet & exercise plan then it can cause other complications as well. Due to high blood sugar levels multiple organs of body starts to get damaged.
The short answer is: Currently there is no known treatment that can permanently eliminate type 2 diabetes.
Many products/Herbs are sold with the purpose “permanent cure” for diabetes but they can only reduce the blood sugar level temporarily.
You can imagine yourself, If there is really a permanent cure available for diabetes, It would have been known to the entire world. The founder of medicine would have got the nobel price for finding it. Such big discovery never get hidden.

Type 2 diabetes has many risk factors associated with it, mostly related to lifestyle choices but in Insulin resistance also depends on genetic abnormality or history of diabetes in family.
